  PILOT INACTIVITY POLICY

British Airways Virtual operates a 30 day active flying policy which means pilots must fly at least one schedule every 30 days.
Pilots who are inactive after the 30 day period may be removed
without notice from the rosters.
There is a facility on the Pilots Control panel which enables you to be placed on leave.
We ask you to carefully consider before applying whether you are able to fulfil this basic commitment.
The shortest flight we currently have on our schedules is
7mins.

Inactive pilots create an unnecessary burden on resources and time that can be better spent to improving our services for members who participate fully with our operations. This is why we strictly enforce this policy.

If you do fall inactive on our rosters and re-apply your past record of participation will be looked at, based on this analysis we do reserve the right to decline your application.

  PIREPS OR PILOT REPORT FORMS

To combat fraudulent hours and to limit use of Accelerated Time.
British Airways Virtual does
NOT have a facility for PIREPS to be entered by a form, which is in use by many other Virtual Airlines.

Use of Accelerated Time
Accelerated time is permissible through the OSP software.
When your PIREP is submitted you will only attain flight time which has been conducted at 1x simulation rate.

Accelerated time is not possible when using the ACARS system.
The ACARS software will set your Flight Simulator clock back to normal time if accelerated time is attempted.

Flight Planning
Required for all flights at British Airways Virtual, this is one of the mandatory fields to be entered in the OSP or ACARS systems.
There is no facility to fly "DIRECT GPS"
