 LEAVE POLICY & RESTRICTIONS

As Virtual Aviation is a hobby and real world commitments do not always allow you to take part 365 days of the year.
British Airways Virtual has a leave facility where pilots wishing to take a break from the Virtual Airline may do so.
The following procedure informs you of how to place yourself on leave via the automated ICC system.

Members must use the Pilots Control Panel which is situated in the Crew Centre for Initial Leave requests.

Placing yourself on leave via the Pilots Control Panel
1. From the Administration Department select the "Initial Leave Request" option.
2. You will then need to log into the system using your BAW Pilot ID and your personal password.
3. You will then find a check box namely "On Leave"
4. Select this and then update your settings.
5. Your name on the rosters will now be highlighted in green.
6. Enjoy your holiday !!!!

Leave Restrictions
Leave is calculated on the 1st of January and pilots who join are awarded leave entitlement in ratio up until December 31st..
For every day you take leave this takes 1 day of your annual entitlement.
If for some reason you do not use your full entitlement over the year a maximum of 8 days may be carried over to your next leave year.

Returning from Leave
When you return off leave, simply file a flight report or access your Pilots Control panel and remove your check mark.
The amount of days you have left is displayed next to your check mark.

If the 90 days are exceeded without correspondence from the member, the Inactivity rule will then apply.
British Airways Virtual is highly automated but the Crystal Ball facility is still in beta testing.
